At Turan University, a large-scale Assessment Center was held by the international company KPMG, bringing together ambitious students from leading Kazakhstani and foreign universities. The organizers of this professional event were the Higher School of Economics and Management and the Higher School of Finance and Accounting. The university venue became a center of attraction for young talents seeking to undergo express selection for one of the Big Four companies and gain unique experience in solving real business problems.
The event was attended by 20 selected candidates representing a wide geography of educational institutions. The main part of the group consisted of Turan University students, who were joined by representatives of KBTU, Narxoz, DMUK, AlmaU, SDU and KIMEP. The participation of students from international universities such as the University of Dundee and Carinthia University gave a special status to the event. This diverse composition of participants ensured a high level of competition and allowed the students to exchange experience within the framework of teamwork.
The program of the day was as intense as possible and included solving a practical case based on a real KPMG project. Participants were able not only to demonstrate their analytical skills, but also to communicate directly with company experts, learning about the intricacies of corporate culture and professional standards of consulting. The main advantage of the format was the chance for an accelerated offer: the best students based on the results of the assessment received an invitation to the final interview, bypassing several preliminary stages of recruiting. Such initiatives confirm the role of Turan University as an effective bridge between quality education and a successful career in global business.
