Development of International Cooperation: Visit of KSU named after I. Arabaev Representatives

On March 30–31, 2026, Turan University hosted a series of events featuring representatives from the Kyrgyz State University (KSU) named after I. Arabaev. The visit aimed to expand international academic cooperation and strengthen strategic partnerships.

The key highlight of the visit was a guest lecture delivered by K.M. Yusupov, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Informatics, titled “Software Engineering in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: New Approaches and Challenges.” The lecture drew significant interest from undergraduate and graduate students of various educational programs, including Computer Engineering and Software, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Intelligent Robotics, and IT Service Management.

During his presentation, the speaker outlined the transformation of software development methodologies under the influence of AI. He emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary knowledge and the adaptation of curricula to meet the evolving demands of the digital economy.

A working meeting was held as part of the visit with A.A. Buzurmankulova, Coordinator for Academic Mobility at the Institute of New Information Technologies and Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Informatics. The meeting was attended by Zh.A. Mukanova, Director of the Higher School of Computer Engineering, and S.T. Mambetov, Director of the Higher School of Information Technologies. The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation, such as the development of academic mobility, the implementation of joint degree programs, joint research initiatives, and the organization of international events.

Special attention was given to professional dialogue: the guests visited the Higher Schools to meet with the faculty members. These discussions focused on modern approaches to training IT specialists, the exchange of pedagogical practices, and opportunities for collaborative projects.

A vital aspect of this partnership is student academic mobility. In the current semester, Turan University is hosting students from KSU named after I. Arabaev: M. Asanova (Information Systems) and A. Ruziev (Software Engineering).

This visit marks a significant milestone in the development of international cooperation between the two universities, fostering academic and scientific ties and expanding opportunities for students and faculty members alike.
